Errata in Printed Editions
When I was a child I had this poster that read, "To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer!"
Below is a list of errors and corrections to printed editions of Mystic Microsoft dated March 2007. They have been corrected in the PDF versions on this site and will eventually make their way into the print versions.
Copyright page, paragraph below the ornament, fifth line: "pther" should be "other"
Page 7, second line from bottom: "affect" should be "effect"
Page 62, third paragraph, first line: "who had come" should be "came"
Page 90, first full paragraph, first line: "unqiue" should be "unique"; not sure how the spell-checker missed this one!
Page 137, fourth paragraph, line 7: "all the demands a" should be "all the demands of a"
Page 197, third paragraph, first line: "I awoke with state" should be "I awoke with that state"
Page 230, end of first full paragraph: change "neon" to "fluorescent"; a friend pointed out that the two types of lights are not, in fact, identical. At one point the long fluorescent tube lights were filled with neon, so I think I learned to call then "neons" on my youth. But since it's not technically correct, I've changed the word.
Page 234, line 9: "nowhere to look up but down" should be "nowhere to look but down"
Page 236, 1st full paragraph, line 1: remove the comma in "What I needed, more than anything"
Page 237, lines 8 to 9: "principles I had to recently" should be "principles I had so recently"
Page 242, line 6: "You'll be ..." should be "You'll be..."
